when u accidentally hurt ur friends feelings and they insist that its fine but u know it isnt
I think one of the hardest things for most artists is to accept is that everyone progresses at their own rate, and it doesn’t make you any less of an artist if someone younger, older, or the same age as you progresses any faster or slower than you. It’s important to remember that, even though I forget myself, sometimes.
Do everything you possibly can to stop comparing yourself and your progression to others and instead use your inspirations and idols to propel yourself forward.
Hey guys, I’m wondering what
-you’d like to see me focus on in my art
-what you like so far
-what you’d like to see improve
-anything that irks you about my art.
-stuff you want to see me draw.
Feel free to go anon, I won’t be publishing or responding these but I’ll appreciate the input. Thank you!
Last night I was packing for my trip and I grabbed a pair of pajama pants and stuck my head through a leghole until it wouldn’t go any farther and said out loud “so this is what a leg feels like” and i still cant grasp why i did that
The most important thing on my plate right now is to reevaluate and fix my priorities.
I decided on the fly that my goblin shammy is a cosmetologist while drawing this. :B She uses the elements to help her with beauty treatments hehehe
I’m super proud of this -shot-
Posting old art from like… 2006 all the way up to now under the cut. I want to see how much I’ve improved.
Below is the absolute very first piece of digital art I EVER drew (2006?):
just fucking draw. don’t compare yourself to other people, don’t stop because you drew a lot last tuesday and you haven’t visibly improved. it takes time, effort, and a lot of perseverance. besides, no matter how “bad” you think you are, there’s still gonna be someone who thinks the stuff you produce is the best goddamn thing they’ve ever seen in their entire life. the artist you were five years ago would have their mind fucking blown by the artist you are today. so just draw a fuckton, because every new thing you draw is one drawing better than you were before.

goblin anatomy, more like ???????
It’ll take me a while to grasp how to draw them, but I feel this was excellent practice! My brother pitched in and helped me fix a few off things as well.
